FAQs
What should I expect from my first session?
In your first session, your clinician will take time to get to know you, understand your concerns, and discuss your goals for therapy. Together, you will review your personal history, current challenges, and what you hope to achieve. This initial session is about building comfort, trust, and creating a plan tailored to your needs.
Do you take my insurance?
I want you to feel comfortable and informed about the cost of your care. My practice is private-pay and out-of-network, which means I don’t bill insurance directly, and payment is due at the time of your session.
If your insurance plan includes out-of-network benefits, I’m happy to provide a monthly superbill—a detailed receipt with the codes your insurance company needs to consider reimbursement.
Before we begin, I encourage you to call your insurance provider and ask, “Does my plan cover out-of-network outpatient mental health services?” This can help you understand what may be reimbursed and plan ahead with more confidence.
Do you work with minors?
Yes, I work with minors navigating high-conflict custody or divorce situations. I use age-appropriate approaches to help them express their feelings, build coping skills, and navigate family changes in a safe, supportive environment.
